This blog speaks about Cevennes villages unknown in media, sometimes mining (coal), Saint Florent, nestled in a secluded valley, Molières, Le Martinet, St. Jean, La Grand Combe ... A poetic and hard life revives here. Germinal (Zola). Having spun further than expected, thanks to Aliaa Elmahdy, it is now bilingual. Note: if someone finds mistakes in english, I would be pleased if he corrects them ! Thanks. Hélène Larrivé

Remember, souvenez-vous, ricordate, Carlo Giuliani, G8, 20/7/81, Gênes, Italy

The death of Carlo Giuliani in three images, or in two only : we observe that, contrary to what the police says, the gun was pointed exactly at his head  (red arrow). Then it will be crashed twice by the jeep (link.) He carries a fire extinguisher

Zoom

Minos died to night.

Dans une galerie mal chauffée... In a poorly heated gallery.
" It is sticky, this cat, by this cold." .. "It is a cold beast. How can she resist? "

It preferred the macs, so warm, so comfortable, to PC.

Minos died today at age 12. He had feline leukemia since the age of 4 years and lived eight years with no apparent signs, but the disease finishes by catch it in 3 days.

After a serious quarrel a long time ago with its ennemy, Yonga (a goat, sensible.) He escaped but with 13 suture points.

Un monde fou.. Des chats sans-papiers en somme.. A crazy world: kitten without "residence permit" and sometimes killed for that !

This cute little kitten and many others are for adoption : they are born from half-wild mothers, (somehow without residence permit, like the "undocumented" workers!) and are regularly collected by volunteers of an association, in order to avoid they be poisoned or, more nag, smashed against a wall as it happens sometimes, officially, by municipalities wishing to save the "cleanliness" of their surroundings, especially when tourists flock. In Paris, they would be sold € 50 at least on the "Quai de la mégisserie". (Where one sees, in the shops, "purebred" cats or especially beautiful.. costing ..  200 € or higher ! furthermore often born from  livestock -"breeding" without control, often inbred-, which sometimes die after a few months of suffering.) Crazy world is ours !

Dedicated to "Arthur" a kitten we acquired (the only animal we've ever bought) for the equivalent of € 40 now ... and that we have nursed 3 months, 4 injections / day (saline solution, glucose, phenobarbital, painkiller etc. .. + changing of "layers" all the time) suffering from an incurable genetic disease*, at the end deaf, blind and paralyzed (but not suffering because of the treatment) ... Arthur that my daughter refused with force to euthanize.

 *Cerebellar ataxia, not apparent initially.

Le nouvel ordre mondial, The new mondial order

La crise par helenelarrive

But what can I do alone ?

“In fact, the financials are just thieves who have bought the right to rob from the governments.” (Edmond Goncourt.)

“Given the state of modern agriculture, we could feed 12 billion men. In other words, any child who dies of hunger is assassinated.” (Jean Ziegler.)

“The poor will be less poor when the rich will get richer” .. “The message passes wrong” .. “Smile more.”

Friday the 13th. Lotto.

“This is an hold up.”

(One sheep) “I tell you, the dog is working with the man” .. The others : “Stop with your paranoia !

The crisis explained to the people. “It's not complicated, what I lose, you pay back, and what I win, you lose it.”

“I think that financial institutions are more dangerous for the country than armies in line of battle. If the American people ever allows private banks to control their money, banks ... will deprive the people of all property, first by inflation, then by deflation, until their children wake up homeless dispossessed of the land their fathers conquered.” (Thomas Jefferson, visionary.)

France needs the money? A solution. 575 deputies, 342 senators, 30 ministers only for France. If we decrease their salary of € 1000/month, it would be 950 000 €  savings / month and 11.4 millions /year.” Signed: the people.

“A balanced budget, what is it? Well I'll tell you. When I spend 116 million for the presidential airbus .. I reduce the samu social grant.” (Sarko.)

“One Euro please to eat.” (A new austerity plan.) “What are they going to invent? Reduce the size of sidewalks?”

May 68, revolution. May 2012, resignation, family, work, uptake, individualism.

“They can’t tell the truth on TV, there are too many people watching.” (Coluche.)

We are the modern slaves, chains are no longer at our feet, but in our heads.

“We must learn, not for the pleasure of knowledge, but to defend ourselves the contempt in which the world holds the ignorants.” (Charlie Chaplin.)

Knowledge is a weapon.

Every war is to money (Socrate.)

Each has its priorities (pencils or bullets.)

37,000 €. Sarko wins the prize for the most expensive night of the G20.

Horn of Africa. famine threatens 12 milllion people. “Promised. The minute we finished with Greece, we take care of you.”

Tchernobyl : “about me, they told people that I had not crossed the border” ..  Fukushima: “for me, that I was not dangerous.”

“Sometimes I wonder where are we going?”… “Don't begin to do your egghead. (Slaughterhouse)”

If you behave like sheep, don't amaze you if you are mowed.

Work, buy, consume and die.

“But what can I do alone?”

Even more dangerous than the sound of boots, the silence of slippers.
Wake up, be indignant, rebel you.

“Dad, I want to lead a career in organized crime”... “In the government or in the private?”

When one man dreams alone, it is only a dream. But when many ones dream, it is the beginning of a reality.

“Don’t stay here, go to the Stade of France, the lawn is heated.”

“All goes well, we take care of you.” For your safety. (Slaughterhouse).

“I hope we can keep events under control when the policemen will realize we are also stealing their pensions.”

“We'll have to implement an austerity plan, guys !”

“The two seem so affectionate, so cute..  I hesitate ..”

"Often, man varies" version 2. These bloody days... "Souvent homme varie" version 2. Ces jours sanglants..

These bloody days have broken my heart,
My lust, my youth did them depart.
For your wit alone many men would bemoan,
And since it is so, many still cry aloud.

It is a great loss that you are dead and gone,
A time you had above your poor degree,
Before whereof your friends may well bemoan,
A rotten twig upon so high a tree has slipped your hold
And you are dead and gone.

These bloody days have broken my heart,
My lust, my youth did them depart.
And blind desire of ambitious souls,
Who haste to climb seeks to revert and about the throne
The thunder rolls.

Poem in extenso

These bloody days have broken my heart.
My lust, my youth did them depart,
And blind desire of estate.
Who hastes to climb seeks to revert.
Of truth, circa Regna tonat.
Who list his wealth and ease retain,
Himself let him unknown contain.
Press not too fast in at that gate
Where the return stands by disdain,
For sure, circa Regna tonat.2
The high mountains are blasted oft
When the low valley is mild and soft.
Fortune with Health stands at debate.
The fall is grievous from aloft.
And sure, circa Regna tonat.
These bloody days have broken my heart.
My lust, my youth did them depart,
For your wit alone many men would bemoan,
And since it is so, many still cry aloud.

The bell tower showed me such sight
That in my head sticks day and night.
There did I learn out of a grate,
For all favour, glory, or might,
That yet circa Regna tonat.
By proof, I say, there did I learn:
Wit helpeth not defence too yerne,
Of innocency to plead or prate.
Bear low, therefore, give God the stern,
For sure, circa Regna tonat.

The famous Thomas Wyatt's poem, vritten after he sees Anne Boleyn beheaded (and his friend too) from his prison cell, the scaffold having being erected on the Bell Tower's bottom (it is said) expresses his horror, sadness, hidden revolt against Henry VIII's tyranny, and his wise desire to live forever far from the vanity of this world.. Thomas had been mysteriously spared although he obviously was an Anne's admirer (in poetry).. and not the others ! proof her trial was a plot instigated by the king -with Cromwell- in order to regain favor with Spain, at a time when Charles V his powerful rival have decided to ally with France ; the position was very dangerous for Henry, alone against two enormous forces gathered.. and Anne's head did not weighed heavy for him who urgently wanted to escape out of this ditch of shit (he was not famous for his conscience's cases!) She was hated by Charles V (she had taken Catherine's place as queen of England -Catherine, Henry's first wife -who he forced to divorce- was the king's Spain daughter and so, Charles's aunt-.)

Note: returned to favor with Henry (!) Thomas Wyatt was later appointed by the king.. ambassador to Spain ! highest position if ever there were! and connected to Anne's death ! "Do what I say and never what I do" could be the title of this poem !
_________________________

Devenir une image, become a picture, not easy..

Whether more or less voluntary, professional or accidental, activist deed or just for fun, nothing is quite the same after and there is no way to turn back. We must know. Nobody looks at you on the same manner, the hairdresser, the butcher, the neighbour. You are another.

Anne Boleyn... Souvent femme varie* ? Often, woman varies?

Voir blog-base (lien)

(Image (first) reconstructed from a damaged coin, the only contemporary Anne Boleyn's representation we have,  her portraits having been destroyed after her death.)

* "Often woman varies and foolish is who trusts them" is a a sentence attributed to Francis the first (king of France) after he learned that he was cuckold by his mistress, the Duchess of Etampes may be. But he did the same and several times !

Le jour D. The D day,

We are in the year 2300, some men resisted, far less numerous since the nuclear disaster of 2013 called "D day" (D for "domino") [a gus a little drunk had pulled the wrong lever and "boom"... Indians thought they were attacked by Kashmiri and "boom"... which reached inadvertently Iran... who immediately sprayed New York etc... Finally, it was a beautiful bazaar but suddenly there is no more unemployment, traffic jams, the question of warming is settled (the sun is always veiled and will stays so for a little 30 years) and polar bears and the sechels people (what remains of them) are saved.]

The D day, 2300
The obsession with profit -under the pretext of "cleanliness" - leads a genious inventor of the famous trademark "Bopallal", (para-pharmaceutical company with excellent reputation, beauty pills, cosmetics etc..) to imagine a special drug which avoid people to do poo... Since then, everywhere, publicity panels say : "don't do as in the 21th century [that is to say as prehistoric men] free yourself from an horrible bondage with a single tablet of "Idon'tdoanypoop" every morning"... [the bosses are happy] but the lobbies of laxatives frantic fight back with the slogan: "do three times a day liberates women ! use Three-in-one every evening and you will have a fresh complexion" etc... Trusts gang war rages, with corruption of quack scientists, a Titans' battle... The canvas is there, just do it, go Michael, it will be a best seller!

Do not read the following (

Le laitier de Fukushima.. The dairy farmer of Fukushima

Le laitier de Fukushima

dfg.jpg

(blog base lien)

A dairy farmer 54 years old lived in a village near Fukushima with his Filipino wife and his two sons. The family was happy, he had 40 cows and worked well. He had built a new workshop to earn more because his children were very young. He had prepared a new schoolbag for her son, waiting for his begining in primary school in April when the cherry blossoms bloom around the yard.

March 11, 2011 explosion at the nuclear plan after a tsunami :  cesium dispersed through the fields, mountains and houses. The milk of his cows contained a lot because he feeds them with the grass he mowed every morning and he had to throw everything away every day. His wife fled the Philippines with their two sons because they were worried about their health. He remained single and continued to work in Fukushima some time. Then, he gave up milking his cows and joined his family in the Philippines but it could not find work, so he incame in Fukushima in May. He no longer has any cow nor his family. He left this message on the board of a wall: "If the plant did not explode, I would not kill me" (based blog, link)

Contradictory response to Zoe Shepard from a "low official" ("Completely overwhelmed")

Quickly: sometimes officials, after some prestigious contest, ENA for example,  intentionally opt for cool jobs in order to laze or paradoxically by ambition, to devote themselves to another more promising career (political, literary, artistic etc. ..) Among all administrations they can run, "finance" is at the top but you have to work, "culture", the low but  you can spend your time bumming. Having a chief with a simple CAP who doesn't know the time it
really takes for an synthetic article, a study or diagram (1 hour) and in any case will never dare you make remarks is more than comfortable *.

This is never punished and it even happens that the filou succeeds much better (elsewhere or in the job) that the hard worker. Example: A long time ago, I had to replace a colleague, philosophy teacher, in a provincial town, who had not assured his courses during 3 months. Sick? Not at all. He was in Paris for contacts, running for detachment as "cultural attached" in Argentina. The headmaster begged him to give him a "sickness stop working"  .. time to have his official appointment but he said he can't.

The parents, all the good bourgeoisie of the city, protested very hard ... while, during all this time, as "TR", although I was paid, I bored as a dead rat without job or without philosophy teacher position. I remember that in one of the job I have had, the headmaster had received me very kindly, asking me what he was going to make me do ... and I replied that I could assure for example the "call forwarding" (that is to say climbing as soon as possible the 4 fours floors when the telephone was ringing to fetch the requested person, because they had only one phone.. on the ground floor!) "I am athletic" .. "This is what is called using the skills" ..

In short, when finally I was appointed (what a joy!), I was welcomed with red carpet, parents, headmaster, all ready to help me, good salary, apartment next the high school, a school for my son just across the street ("if you want, we can expedite a pawn to take him there the morning or when you can't" !), the highschool open for me day and night with the entire library at my disposal (" when you have finished, knock on the window, I'll close ") and an "assistant" to do my photocopies in real time, all I wanted ! 3 terminal classes (L), three (!) coefficient 8 (!) who were without philosophy teacher since 3 months! to make up for that ... ! It was the hell.

Epilogue: the colleague has had his promotion in Argentina, paid twice, he spent his time in conferences, worldly visits, exhibitions, tours etc. .. (Possibly effective, I do not know); all my (his) students have had their bacalaureate (but I finished in "burn out" as we say) and the following year, though benefiting from a super report from the headmaster, the job was awarded to another colleague (by relationship) .. and I obtained another one (prestigious, if you will) but that had nothing to do with philosophy (!) near my home, OK. I left the year after this academy to return to Paris, having understood that "it" could take my whole career or at least 10 years before I get the position for which I was formed.

It goes without saying that I could have continue this momentum throughout all my career without suffer, on the contrary, to some conditions however, like all my holders colleagues (in most cases,, more or less in similar situations): never do strike or not too, or only in places where unions were all powerful, (it is not to do that would have been dangerous here!) still be in tune with my superiors or wall-passes and so on... I have not made a bestseller, I regret it now.

* Without going further, Maupassant acted exactly in this way, having obtained (by relationship) an "food" job in an department, that he had totally neglected, in order to write, without any sanction. Nietzsche too, who, during his entire career as philosophy teacher, has worked very shortly, although theoretically serving and paid, until his psychotic depression. What happened to those who replaced them, if they were replaced (sometimes the jobs are fictitious and it is no necessary)? No one know.

Zoe goes to war! She is an young high territorial officer (employed by the General Council of "Aquitaine", in the south of France) and denounces in his best seller* its dramatic maladministration : favoritism, incompetence of elected her bosses, lazyness, shameful waste of public funds and so on. Funny... and not so funny.

Zoe Shepard's book, humorously exposing mismanagement, nepotism and incompetence of local administration officials is ambiguous* : it lends to confusion; even its banner  "How do 35 hours in a month" disturbs. Say that the territorial public adminsitration could without damage sees its workforce divided by three offends those who rightly fear the dismantling of entire public service : attack a high official administrator (as Zoé likes to repeat she is or was a leading member) is annoying, even if the facts she denounces are certainly true, because of the motivation of the author: a repentant? May be.. But the report, wherever it comes, is nevertheless worth to be considered.

Explanation : decentralization has created thirty years ago a new professional world largely derogatory about its recruitment and promotion from the State Civil Service and based on an unprecedented regression of the autonomy of officials from to political authority. A silent revolution and not a good one! That the Regional Council of Aquitaine (whose Zoe Shepard is a eminent member!) she describes with hilarious acidity, is run by a leftist majority does not change anything: the dispute between many territorial officials and their bosses (politic elected managers) that employ them has nothing to do with their political color: now dominates the politic and the nepotism on the technical skills. The local administration service today is a significant employer, it must play a key role in the recovery of France and it would be good if this problem becomes public. Refuse nepotism, promotion sofa, and above all the hatred of competence is not a conservative battle, even if they rush in it with an huge joy.

 * Following my experience, I would say that this disproportion, indeed burlesque, between leaders without diplomas and graduates subordinates may have an exactly opposite result, in national Education for instance : the second takes advantage of their qualifications, to do exactly as they please, sometimes having opted for a "cool" work, purely for food, (writers, artists .. with a career more important for them than their official job) yes yes, this also happens, Zoe!
